# LIX DAO: Bringing NFT Staking to DeSo


## OUR VISION & MISSION

NFTs are an illiquid asset that often only redistribute value back to the holders after the point of sale. We want to change this by giving collection owners a system to reward their collectors for holding their NFTs long term.

We believe NFT staking will both reward collectors and collection owners in different ways that ultimately create higher trading volume, higher post purchase satisfaction, and drive more community involvement.

**Collection Owners:** NFT staking creates new economics for the collection owner by constantly encouraging collectors to delist/relist their NFTs. When an NFT is staked it is no longer available for sale which ideally will raise floors, increasing the average sale price and by extension increase royalty payments to the collection owners.

**Collectors:** For the first time ever on DeSo, collectors will be rewarded to HODL. LIX is a time based staking platform that allows collection owners to reward their collectors with $LIX by locking their NFTs up for a period of time in their NFT staking pools. $LIX will create a new token ecosystem that allows NFT projects, collectors, and the LIX DAO to mutually benefit from each other’s success and the success of the DeSo NFT ecosystem as a whole.


## OUR STRATEGY

The LIX team is going to market with one key feature, NFT staking. We have ambitious goals around other NFT tooling but we chose to focus on NFT staking first because of its benefit in all market conditions. Our $LIX coin distribution sheds light on some of the things we have planned for the LIX ecosystem.

## TOKENOMICS & DISTRIBUTION

LIX has a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000. The tokens will have a release schedule at key points in the roadmap. 100 million LIX will first be sold in a DAO token presale to raise a treasury balance goal of $10,000. LIX will be available for purchase on the primary market for $0.0001. For every $50 contributed the coin minting price will increase by 0.5%.
