Making it work - part 1

Having the DeSo blockchain and its Apps standing out in the crowd.

1 The mascot

The DeSo logo fits the technical side of its blockchain technology. The blue color coolness representing technology. But does it get recognized as being the symbol for the DeSo brandname? No, I'm not asking those who have been here since the Bitclout days . What I mean is that when I show it to people in the area where I live, what would they associate with it? Even more important, would it trigger their curriosity to find out what it stands for? The mascot needs to be something that a lot of people connect to a feel good mood. Using the annoying washing machine soap commercials would create the opposite effect. Because the underlying product is different.

And hey, look, Focus already has this cute little fellow, a happy whale! So, no need to reinvent the wheel there. But it could maybe do with some colors and throw in a few Diamonds. And hey presto, meet 'Whally the Whale'. But who made the original and what are the reproductions rights like. For this to function a Creative Commens Share Alike type of license would be needed, I think. Next users can get jiggy with it. Instead of flooding X with Focus inventation links, promote Whally. And only pin a text with a link on the personal page. While Whally slowly becomes known on X and other platforms. As it pops up between all those endless blah blah blah texts. Imagine that, a cute happy whale who beams out Diamonds. What is that about. Spreading love through Diamonds.

It might be that Whally should not be used. Maybe a Dolphin is more appealing as a Mascot for DeSo. Be free like a happy Dolphin in a sea of possibilities. This is just to kick-off the suggestion. Maybe trigger creativity here and there. And I'm sharing a quick version that I made. Merely to show you what I mean. Connecting the happy Whale that hands out Diamonds as tips. Moving the focus (no pun intended) away from the complexity of blockchain technology towards fun. Supported by artworks, animations and NFTs. Can you imagine that?

Next time I will go into some deeper aspects of human pattern behavior. Or at least I will try.
