Anyone had success in starting or investing in OpenFund projects?

I'm really interested in exploring this as a means to bring on investment to incubate a new project.

It’s an awesome start. Think once Revolution is introduced and some liquidity arrives via HeroSwap we might be in business. Tested out the use case but still a few kinks to work out. Excited to see what evolves of it after core team focuses back on its development. Would love a multi-sit wallet for truly decentralized control of a wallet, for some that is essential to proper management of a DAO or similar organization. Overall, it may very well be the future of the Kickstarter concept tbh. Hard to test to the limits with limited cash flow tho.

I've used the platform as a "project" experimentally and done the raise and token distribution. Tools are fairly decent for a beta.

Some promising DAOs there like @DeSoShopping but they are not currently raising and not sure how they'd spend the money(at least until we are really back). @SeanSlater could comment more

Raising the funds in multiple short rounds (since the current investor community appetite is only there for smaller rounds of 500-1000$ each round), engaging the community, structuring the financial returns and the liquidity, transparent communication and more.

**What makes NodeBitsDAO different than other ‘NaaS’ (Node as-a Service) type offerings?**

* NodeBitsDAO is managed transparently through a fully on-chain DAO (powered by OpenFund) where $NodeBitsDAO DeSo token holders are able to vote on the direction of the project through community proposals.
* NodeBitsDAO is running in nodes that provide real world utility such as Presearch, Flux, Gala Music etc.
* Rewards are airdropped in a sustainable way that is not reliant on ‘ponzinomics’ with no unsustainable APR promises. 
* Rewards are airdropped in the form of $DESO and do not create sell pressure on our native token.
* NodeBitsDAO launched with nodes already in place (Presearch) so there were rewards available to be airdropped to NodeBitsDAO participants immediately after the first funding round closed.
* $NodeBitsDAO DeSo tokens can be traded on the DeSo DEX. 
* $NodeBitsDAO NFTs can be traded on NFT markets that support DeSo NFTs.


**Is NodeBitsDAO a pyramid or ponzi scheme?**

No. In a pyramid or ponzi scheme money from new entrants is required to pay existing holders. This is not how NodeBitsDAO functions.

Before a single $NodeBitsDAO DeSo token was minted NodeBitsDAO was gifted a Web3 node farm with nodes already generating rewards greater than their cost to run.

The only way $NodeBitsDAO DeSo tokens are minted is when they are purchased through funding rounds on Openfund.

When $NodeBitsDAO DeSo tokens are minted the funds raised go directly to increasing the amount of nodes in the NodeBitsDAO Web3 node farm.

Funds raised are used to increase the node farm, not to directly pay existing holders.

As long as the node farm produces revenues greater than the aggregate hosting costs there will continue to be rewards available to airdrop to NodeBitsDAO holders.

Our team is dedicated to researching and choosing projects with strong fundamentals that provide real world utility such as Streamr, Presearch, Gala Music etc. 

We maintain a node farm contingency fund in USD that contains enough funds to maintain the NodeBitsDAO node farm for 3 months.

If any node protocol in the farm become unprofitable to run we can conduct a community proposal vote to liquidate the position and pivot to another project.

In my opinion, it is a greenfield for someone innovative. If Focus has any success in bringing in new users, and some of the bitclout OGs like you come back, I think it opens up a whole different way to incubate. 
The @openfund project I like is @NodeBitsDAO 
I'd likely be interested in other crypto related for profit daos.
